We worked with Tai Boutell as first time borrowers in early 2017. He met with us early on, he sat with us on a late weekday afternoon, with a cranky toddler in tow, and answered all our questions. He wasn't condescending or annoyed with our "stupid" questions as so may in the industry seem to be; then gave us the time & room we need to figure things out.
You name any of the challenges of buying a home in SC as a middle class working family, and yep we had them. Add to that how uneducated we were on the whole process, AND THEN add to that the fact that out sellers were INSISTENT no one use a realtor! Yeah, perfect storm.
Tai was amazingly competent, thorough, and patient. We faced countless issues with my bank, and he navigated things beautifully - always a phone call, email, or text away (seriously once I text him about 10pm and he happily replied right back!). He even came to our escrow paper signing and brought us a bottle of champagne. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to anyone!
